Student Career Day & Pedal Car Challenge
Student Day was started in 2006 as an initiative to support the automotive educational programs at schools by exposing students to the wide range of opportunities in the industry through speakers, corporate support and event participation.
Presented by Summit Racing Equipment and the International Show Car Association (ISCA), World of Customs is committed to the future by hosting this annual “Career Day” where students and instructors enjoy exposure to the aftermarket hot rod industry. This educational opportunity features guest speakers who share their experience, knowledge and convey their passion of the industry.
World of Customs welcomes automotive school groups of high school and college level students. This interactive learning experience allows students to participate in a positive and valuable “hands-on” educational experience.
The “Career Day” participants enjoy an admission cost of $15.00 per ticket. This includes their admission to the show the entire day Friday February 21 2020, lunch, and a Free return ticket for one day during the weekend event.
Student Career Day begins on Friday February 21, 2020 with a general session starting promptly at 9:00am. Plan to arrive early to document attendance and allow time to collect tickets upon registration. The general session will last approximately 45 minutes which includes: Distribution of donated items (hats, magazines, stickers etc.), special interactive show features, brief comments from sponsors and guest speakers, and drawings for prizes and giveaways.
Following the session, students will be allowed to preview the show ahead of opening to the general public. During the day, they will have an opportunity to meet with car owners and builders, participate in several interactive exhibits, and talk to representatives from area colleges and tech schools,
If a school chooses to participate in the Pedal Car Challenge, then the automotive classes receive a pedal car from Summit Racing Equipment, which they then customize and display at the show, where they are judged and awarded prizes. We will also supply you with the rules and regulations.
